Instagram Team assists the Arcadia Unified School District's public relations/communications efforts by updating the @arcadiaunified Instagram account. Our district's Instagram account was given a nod from Buzzfeed as one of the Top Ten Instagram accounts in the world, and we aim to keep it that way! We divide our responsibility for posting to our account into shifts, so one intern takes care of all the posts and captions per assigned day

Podcasting is unique. I like to think of it as a low-maintenance Youtube channel since it doesn’t require a video component; you can focus solely on getting your message out, whether it’s a specific topic or simply talking about your experiences. A podcast can be about anything that interests you. In fact, topics you may consider peculiar actually might make the best podcast episodes because they are often intriguing and thought-provoking.
Sound appealing? If you’re interested in creating your own podcast, then keep on reading. The DCI Video team exists to create content in video format. With a strong team of filmmakers, writers, and actors, the team's goal each semester is to produce larger scale projects alongside video summaries from event coverage. Centered on collaboration, the content-creation experience is one that is open to new ideas and allows everyone to have a voice.
To be on this team, interns need to have an open mind and be able to collaborate with others. These skills are of the utmost importance when the team covers events and works together to get the whole story. Along with individuals being self-starters in providing video coverage of events, interns need to be collaborative to quickly and easily share ideas for higher profile projects. All in all, the video team aims to create great things, so make sure to keep an eye out for them! Design Team is primarily a commission-based team, meaning members will produce designs upon request; however, team members are encouraged to offer suggestions for possible designs for various programs and events. While most of the work will be posted on social media, some digital flyers may be printed and distributed on campus or around the community. Applying fundamental design techniques while incorporating requested information, this team is all about finding equilibrium between art and structure through graphic design.
Hello, and welcome to the Fall 2018 District Newsletter Team! The main focus for this team will be to promote personal, face-to-face interactions with local businesses to get the accomplishments of Arcadia students out to the general public. All of the walks will be great bonding experiences and a good chance to practice your professionalism and socializing skills! Interested? Here are some general guidelines.
The Arcadia Unified Digital Communications Internship Newswriting team writes articles about the school district to be professionally published in local newspapers and news sources such as Arcadia Weekly and Arcadia Patch. Members of this team will become proficient in news writing and copy editing.
The Digital Communications Internship Website team manages the website, writes posts, formulates ideas, and encourages other interns to contribute to it.
Since the website is for DCI and all about DCI, posts should reflect it. (Note that we are not posting about events and such; that content is reserved for the AUSD social media pages.) This website is usually where prospective and new interns go when they want to learn more about the program. |
